Cleveland Forecast Discussion
.near term/ through Saturday Night/...
On going lake effect snow will slowly shift north east over night. WNW flow aloft will veer to more of a NNW flow overnight. Mid level moisture will be moving north and this will end the lake effect near Cleveland for the day on Saturday. Still can't rule out a few isolated snow shower/flurries with how cold the air will be. I expect to see some breaks in the flow tomorrow afternoon. Flow aloft on Saturday will veer to a more WSW flow along with a mid level dry slot will push the lake effect well northeast of the area. A clipper type system will impact southern Ohio Saturday night but our CWA will not see any precipitation out of it. We will see the coldest air of the season Saturday night with lows in the teens and outlying areas will see cooler temps if we get breaks in the clouds. Snow totals around Cleveland will be around 1" or less. Lake and Ashtabula counties can see upwards to a few feet of snow depending on where the bands set up.
